Can siblings come along?

Yes — younger siblings may attend if a paid spot is purchased for them. Lap-carried babies (under ~12 months, not walking) are always free. Children under 5 must be shadowed at all times by their parent to help with hands-on activities and safety.

Pizza Garden Day! (Elementary Homestead Workshop) Trace your favorite food straight back to the dirt! In this hands-on, 3-hour homestead workshop, elementary students will harvest fresh ingredients straight from our garden, learn the science of how yeast makes bread rise, and knead their very own scratch-made pizza dough. While the dough rests, we’ll get our hands dirty potting a culinary herb plant for each child to take home. We’ll finish the morning by assembling and cooking our farm-fresh pizzas for a delicious outdoor lunch! You’ll learn how to properly melt, scent, and pour your own glass jar candle, blend a nourishing botanical lip balm, and craft a set of eco-friendly, reusable beeswax food wraps for your kitchen. Hydroponic Bucket Build: Applied STEM & Engineering Workshop (Grades 6th-12th) Step into the homestead workshop for a fast-paced morning of applied engineering and water chemistry! In this 3-hour intensive, teens will learn how to safely use power tools to drill, assemble, and plumb a 5-gallon Deep-Water Culture (DWC) hydroponic system. We will dive deep into agricultural science by testing water pH, calculating nutrient parts-per-million (PPM), and learning how to grow food year-round without soil. Students head home with a fully functional, planted hydroponic system ready to grow greens in their bedroom or patio! Ages: 6th–12th Grade Date & Time: Friday, September 25th | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Cost: $95 per student (Includes complete 5-gallon system, and nutrients)

Heather Mich pairs practical, get-your-hands-dirty instruction with the curriculum families need to satisfy ESA documentation — no busywork, no PowerPoints, just soil under fingernails and questions that lead somewhere.
